About Us
Founded in August 2023 by Marcel and Mary Thompson, Te Aroha Distilling Co. is dedicated to producing premium spirits that capture the essence of our unique location. With Marcel’s extensive distilling experience – which began with renowned brands such as Tanqueray and Gordon’s, Booths, Boords and Boodles – our distillery combines tradition with innovation to create high quality, distinctive products.

A sense of place with our ingredient selections: Sourcing locally wherever possible and using water from the Te Aroha region to ensure authenticity in every bottle. This includes botanicals grown on site for our product releases and for selection by our school attendees
